Crown of midnight - Sarah J. Maas review
Celaena's story continues in this second book in the #1 bestselling Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas.
Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become the King's Champion. But she is far from loyal to the crown. Though she goes to great lengths to hide her secret, her deadly charade becomes more difficult when she realises she is not the only one seeking justice. Her search for answers ensnares those closest to her, and no one is safe from suspicion - not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a princess with a rebel heart.
one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an
unspeakable tragedy. As Celaena's world shatters, she will be forced to
decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie ... and what she is
willing to fight for.
I absolutely loved the first book of the glass throne series. So I could not let the 2nd book in the series pass me by.
If I thought the first book in the series was already good, then I have to rethink this one. Because I still think the dark crown surpassed the shining throne.
I was completely away in another world with this book. I enjoyed this so much that I finished it in no time. This book is a true rollercoaster. Celeana her character is so multifaceted, and unique. No one can act like her. One moment she is a cold-blooded killer, the next she spares those on the king's list to kill.
One mystery follows another. Not to mention that ending. Simply fantastic. I can definitely recommend this book! I am already looking forward to part 3!
