en-Bravelands: Broken pride - Erin Hunter Review

21/01/2020

A LION cast out from his pride.

AN ELEPHANT who can read the bones of the dead.

A BABOON rebelling against his destiny.

For generations, the animals of the African plains have followed a single rule: only kill to survive. But when an unthinkable act of betrayal shatters the peace, the fragile balance between predators and prey will rest in the paws of three unlikely heroes.

I came acros this book for multiple times, but I had never read it before. Not until now. When I came acros this one at an outlet, I couldn't resist it any longer and I got this one and its sequal.

And lets be honest, these covers are so beautiful I can't even put it into words. I always buy my books based on their cover, the same as I did with these ones and I have no regrets. It was such a great adventure and I totally loved it!

At first I was kind of  scared it would be too childish, and it's totally different from what I normally read. But I couldn't be more wrong. The story is told by multiple point of views of animals. I have never read an animal story  before, and I was surprised of how much I loved this. It made me forget time and it took me out of space for a while.

It's so well written and fun to read. You can finish it in a blink of an eye. It also shows us that not everything is as good as it seems. Not all animals can live together in harmony. It teaches us that animals somethimes kill each other in order to survive. It reflects reality in some kind of way.

It's a pageturner from the beginning untill the end. And definitely a must read for every animallover.
