Eeny Meeny - M.J. Arlidge review
The girl emerged from the woods, barely alive. Her story was beyond belief. But it was true. Every dreadful word of it. Days later, another desperate escapee is found - and a pattern is emerging. Pairs of victims are being abducted, imprisoned then faced with a terrible choice: kill or be killed. Would you rather lose your life or lose your mind?

I've been looking for a while now to expand my reading genre, and I really wanted to try a Thriller. I immediately fell in love with the cover of 'Eeny Meeny', so I decided to give this one a try. Bookishcrimes also recommended this book to me, so I thought I'd give it a go, so I did.
I can barely find the words to express how much I loved this book. WOW, this book was so amazing! It definitely made me fall in love with the thriller-genre. I can't wait to read the rest of the Helen Grace- series. The storyline is well written, and you can't put it down anymore. You keep turning the pages to find the killer and his of her motive (not going to spoil anything) 😉
The story is also written very explicitly and does not leave much to the imagination. Some scenes can be verry tense, but this gave the book an extra touch in my opinion. It gives the book so much more power and makes it more intense and more mysterious. You can't let go of the story anymore.
Helen grace's character is so mysterious. She doesn't let her guards down easily, which makes it harder for us to see into her soul. She's kind of a loner and keeps her story to herself. I think she's very intriguing because she has such a complicated character, and you can see clearly that she suffers from a big trauma. She won't tell anyone what this is, so it's verry complicated for the reader to get to know her character well. She's a DIE-Hard police officer and she will do anything to catch this killer and keep the people that she cares about safe.
I really loved this book, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
