en-Shatter me - Tahereh Mafi - Review

01/03/2020

"You can't touch me," I whisper.
I'm lying, is what I don't tell him.
He can touch me, is what I'll never tell him.
But things happen when people touch me.
Strange things.
Bad things.

No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal, but The Reestablishment has plans for her. Plans to use her as a weapon.
But Juliette has plans of her own.
After a lifetime without freedom, she's finally discovering a strength to fight back for the very first time-and to find a future with the one boy she thought she'd lost forever.

This book has been on my To Be Read- list for ages now. I've heard a lot about it , good and bad things. I decided to see for myself and I went to the library and got myself a copy of shatter me.

First of all: What a beautiful cover! I fell in love with the cover. I love the blue eye, it brings some mystery into the story. I always like pretty books and now I can add 'shatter me' to my 'pretty cover' list.

The story is well written and I had it finished in no time! I was pleasantly surprised by this one! I didn't quiet like the first pages of the book if I can be honest. I was rather bored and I had a hard time to concentrate myself on the story. But this all went away after a while time. I Enjoyed the story and I started to love it! I really liked the ending of the book though. It was so tense and so interesting! I can't wait to read the next one in the series.

The charachters are well written with a lot of details to them. I had my doubts with some charachters, I couldn't tell wheater they were good or bad or pretending to be good, ... And I love that about books. Some authors can write their charachters with a lot of possibilities to them. So you can make up your own mind about them, and make a lot of conspiracy theories inside your head. I'm looking forward to the next book.
