The Prince And The Dressmaker - Jen Wang review
What a lovely Graphic Novel! I've been looking to read this one for a while now, so I couldn't let it pass when I saw it was being translated to Dutch.
It is such a fun and cute story. It's such a nice read and I had it finished in no time. What I really liked about this book, was the meaning and the message it holds. 'Everyone is different and has different hobbies. Everyone should be who he/she wants to be whatever their hobbies or dreams may be." I think this is such a beautiful message and necessary to share. Everyone needs to hear this message. It's not always easy in this society to be who you want to be, because you're always being critisized by others. And I really hate that. I think it is important to be who you want to be, whitout the feir of being left out or being discriminated by others. So I really loved that this book is sending this very important message.
The drawings are really nice and beautifully drawn. They clearly indicate what the author wants to say and they are a nice addition to the speech bubbles.
I think it is a great story, and this is a message that I also like to convey to the children at work. I will certainly add this book to our book collection at work. So that this book can also convey the message to the younger children.
