It Ends With Us - Colleen Hoover Review

28/09/2022

Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most.

Lily hasn't always had it easy, but that's never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She's come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up - she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily's life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He's also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn't hurt. Lily can't get him out of her head. But Ryle's complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his "no dating" rule, she can't help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan - her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

Colleen Hoover is THE biggest tiktok-sensation at this moment. You either love or hate the Hoover-books. I wanted to give 'it ends with us' a try after falling in love with 'reminders of him'.

Colleen Hoover is the queen of Rom-Com if you ask me. It ends with us is an amazing book in my opinion. It makes you fall in love over and over again. It breaks your heart only to mend it moments later all over again. I was really addicted to this book. I couldn't put it down anymore. I took it everywhere with me. I immediately lost my heart to Atlas. I kept on hoping that he and Lily would end up together in the end, because their chemistry was so overwhelming.

I've always preferred Atlas over Ryle. Ryle had something over him that I did not like. I couldn't put a finger on it in the beginning but there was something wrong with him. I told Lily time after time that she was making a big mistake for choosing for Ryle, but she just wasn't listening to me (yes I did talk to my book because it was driving me nuts).

Long story short. I'm obsessed with this book. It breaks your heart multiple times at once, just to mend it all over again.

I'm really looking forward to 'It starts with us'.
