This Winter - Alice Oseman review

20/04/2021

A short novella based on the beloved characters from the graphic novel Heartstopper - soon to be a major Netflix series - and Alice Oseman's debut novel Solitaire, which was praised as 'The Catcher in the Rye for the digital age' by The Times. The festive season isn't always happy for Tori Spring and her brother Charlie. And this year's going to be harder than most. I used to think that difficult was better than boring, but I know better now... I'm not going to think about the past few months, about Charlie and me, and all of the sad. I'm going to block it all out Just for today. Happy Christmas, I say.

I first fell in love with Nick and Charlie when I read the heartstopper series. They are so cute and they seem very realistic. So I knew I had to get all the books as possible by allice oseman. So I did buy them all (at least I think I've got them all).

I finally dove into 'This winter' and I absolutely loved it! It's a short novella, but it is a nice addition to the series. We get to know the characters better than in the graphic novel series. They have more depth to their character.

It's a christmas novella that makes you think about your family and friends. It's such a beautiful story! Definetely a must read if you ask me.
