I had been meaning to get back into a book about vampires for some time. Vamps seemed like the perfect combination of romance and vampires. So I was eager to start it.
I'm going to honestly admit that I was pleasantly surprised by this book! My expectations were not sky high, but I must confess that they were well exceeded. The story is really mega well put together! I enjoyed it immensely. I really couldn't put this book aside.

Dillon was also a really great character to read. He is not like most characters who are chosen. He also doesn't act like a chosen one at all. He acts like a dork who still has to learn everything and that just made him so nice and "down to earth.

What I did find a big downside, and this really needs to get off my chest. I found the end of the story so rushed. There was way too much pacing in a short period of time. Because of this, important details were lost. While reading, I felt like I was missing important information. It suddenly went way too fast, and I would have preferred more attention to detail. For me, the book could easily have 100 more pages if that would have made the ending better.

That being said, I really did find this story and especially the core ending "mindblowing. I am still amazed at how much this book did with me. I was totally in the flow and went absolutely crazy by the ending. I have to confess that it had been a while since I had really gotten so deeply lost in a book anyway. This is definitely recommended in my opinion!
